And so YOU wanna start running?

If you are out there thinking "hey running isn't really my thang, but I'm going to give it a try," I'm going to help you out a little bit, but starting is up to you.

If you are just getting into running I would start off by getting yourself a good pair of shoes, then put your shorts on, get outside, and GO!
  1. I would start off with a 5min walk and then go into a light job. Switch 5min walk and 5min jog, and do that for 20-30mins. Keep that up for a week and you should notice a some positive changes!
  2. For the second week increase your jogging time and decrease your walking time. Example: 3min walk and 7min jog, or even go a full 20mins of jogging. I would keep this up for a good week and a half until 20mins is like a walk in the park for you.
  3. This should be your 3rd or 4th week of running and hopefully you are loving it as much as I am. Now that you are no longer a "noob" I would start off from your 20min jogs to now seeing how far or long you can go.
Make sure to rest every 5 or 6 days to stay away from injury. I personally take off Sunday so I can start the week with some fresh legs!

To make your running a little easier and fun get a friend to run with you. It helps a lot when you have someone running next to you because if you start to think about slowing down you usually won't because you want to keep up with your friend!

It's not that hard to do. Just get out and GO!
